About

This program dives into an interactive exploration of orca biology, ecology, social structure, and behaviors. Students will learn about echolocation, the different types of orca vocalizations, and the impact that noise pollution has on cetaceans. Students transition into scientists as we create virtual research stations. Students will engage in the scientific process as they collect data and apply research techniques to identifying and cataloging individual orcas for real-world conservation projects! Students will learn about genealogy charts, echolocation, orca anatomy, build scientific data collection and analysis skills, and study cetacean behaviors like migration, vocalizations, and social learning theory. Age Range: 7-12 Maximum Capacity: 12 students per section Class Schedule: July 21st @ 9AM
